Paddle and a Pint

Back by popular demand, a weekly event hosted by The Cedar House Grill and Martini Bar and Treks In The Wild; our “Paddle and a Pint” adventure outing.

Each Wednesday beginning May 1st, 2013 – we will begin our summer social paddles. This year we’ll be exploring the most popular portion of the Grand River between Glen Morris and Paris. The social paddles are designed to get out on the river and enjoy a paddle at a leisurely pace, while having a relaxing evening with friends new and old.

We are very excited to have partnered once again with The Cedar House in Paris to extend the social portion of the evening. As part of the cost for the event, join us at The Cedar House for a choice of appetizer from their outstanding menu. Samantha and Matt are looking to tantalize your taste buds and in addition, have generously offered special pricing for the adventurers on 3oz Martini’s ($6.00) or one of their special Ontario Craft Pints ($5.00).

Due to the overwhelming popularity of these paddling events and limited spaces, we ask that you confirm your participation through the reservation form below or contact the Treks In The Wild office at 1 888-292-1288.

No paddling experience is necessary, however if you have never paddled before you must arrive prior to 4:30pm for the mandatory Paddler Safety Orientation.

Paddle

Meet at Treks in the Wild at 5:00pm to 5:15pm to get fitted for equipment. Shuttle leaves promptly at 5:30pm, no exceptions and we are on the river by 5:45pm/6:00pm

Price – $30 per person – tax included

Includes: (note – kayaks are first come first served basis)

• Canoe or kayak rental including safety kit and complete with PFD and paddle per person
• Shuttle to put in point on the Grand

Reminder – there is NO ALCOHOL consumed during or before the paddling portion of this event. Beverages are not included in the price of the outing but may be purchased during the social part of the evening at The Cedar House Restaurant at a special rate.
